Who we are
Nong Khai Design Co., Ltd. or "NKD" as we are known, was formed in 2009 by May and Alec Johnson. The combination of our shared ethical approach to business and our differing, yet complimenting, skill-sets has proved to be a winning formula. Over the years we have built a strong team around us consisting of architects, engineers, administrative staff, sub-contractors, skilled craftsmen and suppliers who all work together with a shared goal of giving the best possible service to our clients, producing work of the highest quality.
Alec Johnson
Hi, I am Alec. I am English, originally from North Staffordshire, though have been living in Thailand since 2006.
My educational and professional background is in design and engineering and I am responsible for the architectural design and engineering side of the business. I ensure that design, engineering and build quality is up to the high standard expected by us and our clients. I know that communication and the language barrier is sometimes a concern when in a foreign country which is why I am also the main point of contact for our international clients throughout the process from initial inquiry through design and construction, to handover of a finished home, so communication should not be an issue.
May Johnson
Sawasdee Ka, I am May. I am Thai, originally from Phon Phisai.
My educational and professional background is in business management and I am responsible for directing the organisational side of the business, dealing with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure that workforces and materials arrive on site in a timely manner to allow for the smooth running of our construction projects. I also act as the main point of contact for our Thai clients.
